  1. Booking:  If dates are available, a proposal will be sent. Once dates and prices are agreed, you will be sent an invoice. Booking will be confirmed only when the deposit is credited to the Bristol Homestay Tuition bank account. Once the deposit is received, you will receive by return:  a receipt, a statement of costs, showing the schedule of payments for the deposit and the final balance with a payment date.

  2. Deposit: A non-refundable deposit comprising 10% of the course fee is required to confirm the booking. Payment is required within 10 days of the reservation. Sterling bank transfers ONLY to Bristol Homestay Tuition’s bank account (bank details are on the invoice). Booking is ONLY confirmed once deposit is credited to the bank account.
  3. Payments: The balance of payment of the course fee is required four weeks before the start of the course. In the absence of payment in due time, the course will be considered cancelled and Bristol Homestay Tuition will be entitled to offer the dates to other students. The deposit will not be refunded.
  1. Postponed courses: If the request to postpone the course occurs earlier than four weeks before the course and the proposed week is available, the deposit is credited and an administration charge of £95 will be added to the balance. If the suggested week is not available, the course is considered cancelled. A request to postpone a course later than four weeks before the start of the course (and if the balance has been paid for) will be treated as a cancellation.
  2. Cancellation: In the event of cancellation after the final balance is paid (four weeks before the start of the course) we reserve the right to retain 50% of the course fee. In the event of cancellation before the final balance is paid the deposit is not refundable but no other fees are due.
  1. Non-arrival or late arrival: If a student does not arrive for their course or arrives the next day, the fees cannot be refunded.
  1. Curtailments/alterations to courses whilst on site: students cutting short their stay will not be entitled to a refund.
  1. Meals: If a student has special dietary requirements, they must mention them at the time of booking. The student is entitled to have meals outside but they will not be paid for by Bristol Homestay Tuition and no fee reduction can be claimed. If the student and tutor dine outside the house, the student will be expected to pay for their own meal and for the tutor’s meal, except where the tutor has decided to cater externally, due to time or location constraints.
  1. Excursions: Travel costs and entry fees on excursions for tutor on accompanied visits must be paid for by the student. Meals on excursions are also paid for by the student. Extra excursions will be priced separately, depending on destination and duration.
